L.E.A.R.N. is constructing a new website, which will appear later at dotlish.com. Some content from this site will move to dotlish.com, some will be switched to print and e-book media, and some will be withdrawn, at least temporarily.

Inactive accounts at this site will be shut down in April, except for a few administrators' accounts. According to current plans, dotlish.com will not be a membership site, so accounts will not be needed there. If you would like to keep your current account open here, please log in before April 1, 2011 and update your information through the "View Account" page. We will not immediately close accounts that are still being accessed.

This site was created for research purposes and currently is not active, is not being maintained, is scarcely being used, and is not accepting new users except for those few who make personal requests to the owners. A new, improved site at a different URL will appear later.

The new mascot of L.E.A.R.N.'s upcoming second-generation website is already online:

Dottie Dotlish is tweeting several times a day in simplified English (roughly our Intermediate level) on both Twitter (@DottieDotlish) and Facebook (Dottie Dotlish). If you are learning English or know someone who is, log onto Twitter or Facebook right now and check her out! Please?

All of this site's older content is in a category called Old Stuff, which you will find on the Articles page. You might overlook this category because the Articles page claims it is empty. This is an unfixed bug. Just click through to Old Stuff, select a subcategory from the menu, and see what might be there.

This is an old experimental site that is not being maintained now, even though it is mostly operational and you are still welcome to use it. You may get no reaction to comments you post on the site, and messages sent to the staff via the "Contact Us" page probably will not go through. If you seriously need to contact us, please use the following address:
